Rob Simone – Lead Pastor
Hailing from Long Island, New York, Rob moved to Frederick MD, after graduating from Nyack College with a ministry degree in 2006. He is ordained in The Christian and Missionary Alliance (The Alliance) and has been serving in ministry over 10 years. Rob loves all things sports. He’s an avid NY Giants, Rangers and Yankees (yes, Yankees) fan. He enjoys playing guitar and listening to ’80s and ’90s music. He likes to be active and you will make his day if you challenge him to a game of Kan Jam or bring him Mike and Ike’s!
Rob and his wife Heather have been married since June 2010. Heather is a work-from-home Operations Manager for a company called Life Floor. She loves to read, write and sing. She is an animal lover who enjoys watching veterinary shows and visiting zoos and aquariums. Rob and Heather have two sons, Eli and Matthew. As a family they enjoy swimming, going for walks, grilling, bonfires, the fall, picking fresh fruit and going to the park.
Jon O’Neal – Worship Team Leader
Born and raised in Frederick, Maryland, Jon thrives on live production and has worked at the Weinberg Center for the Arts for the last 10 years as a Live Sound Engineer. When Jon does his job well at the Weinberg, he disappears into the background and the show takes center stage. His goal during worship is that he may fade into the background while Jesus is the main focus. Jon has been leading worship since he was in high school. Jon loves music, movies, and is a recreational gamer, playing board games and video games with anyone who is willing.
Richard Bower is Chief of Chaplains for the Maryland State Fire Chief’s Association. He has been happily married to his wife, Shirley Ann, for 49 years. They have three children and twelve grandchildren. He retired from the US Army as a Colonel (Chaplain) after 30.5 years of service. Currently, he is the Director of Pastoral Care at the Western Maryland Hospital Center.
Keith grew up in Maryland and has lived in Frederick since 1995. He and his wife Sandy have 5 sons, 2 daughters-in-law and are proud new grandparents to a grandson as of July 2017. Keith works for Leidos as a Program Manager. He has been serving as an Elder at EAC since 2010. He can be found doing a variety of things at church on Sunday Morning, from the sound booth to a stand-in for childcare in the Nursery. He enjoys biking, being outside and watching Netflix with his wife. A long-standing tradition in his family is to attend the Little League World Series. He can often be recognized by the Cherry Slushie or Large Cherry Coke fountain drink in a Wawa cup in his hand. A motto Keith is known for is “We are going to have fun, no matter what!”
Larry and his wife Helen have lived in Frederick with their 2 sons since 2003. Larry works for K & B Restoration and is part owner of the Flood Department portion of the company. He has been serving as an Elder at EAC since 2015. He can be seen mowing the church lawn or fixing a variety of things around the building. You will recognize him on Sunday Mornings by the children gathered around him trying to get him to sneak them a donut. He is also often seen holding one of Pastor Rob and Heather’s children while they nap during service! Larry enjoys hunting and is happiest sitting in a tree stand enjoying the quiet. Larry and Helen are well known for their hospitality. He is a Pittsburg Steelers and Penguins fan. He also enjoys watching MMA fights with his sons.
